The Acadia Community Jane's Walk May 5th at 10:30 am Tentative time

I am the Jane's Walk Leader for the community of Acadia, and I need your help!  I live in Acadia, but I don't know much of the culture and heritage.

If you would like to participate by:

Sharing information with me  about Acadia and what you love about it, or know about its Arts, Culture, and Heritage.

Volunteer for a 2 minute stop along the way to tell a story, sing a song, dance, perform, explain a landmark, put up a display of mementos, arts, craft, history, etc.

So far our stops are:

  • A visit to the site of the Acadia Community Garden behind the ARC.
  • The little playground that is surrounded by back alleys (a curiousity) - does anyone know why its like that?
  • McDougall United Church
  • Acadia Lutheran Church of our Saviour
  • Armstrong Crescent - beautiful trees (does anyone know how these trees came to be?)

Here is a link to where our walk will show up once they are all set up.

The basic Jane's Walk site for more info is www.janeswalk.net.

I am very excited to be the Walk Leader for our community. If we get enough interest, we can have more than one leader. Please let me know if you would enjoy touring a group through our lovely district.
